Bridgeland Offers Summer Camps

This summer, Bridgeland in Cypress, TX is planting the seeds for a lifelong appreciation of the great outdoors with its newest camp, “Wild with Nature.”For children ages 6 to 12, the camp will provide get-your-hands-dirty activities as campers explore insects, earthworms, birds, reptiles, amphibians, herbs, wildflowers and more. Activities include dissecting an owl pellet to see what owls eat, paper-making with recycled paper and wildflower seeds, building a wooden bird feeder and making bird food, starting an herb container garden, and more. The camp will be held 9 a.m. to noon at Bridgeland’s Festival Park and parents can select from four sessions: June 20-24, June 24-July 1, July 18-22 and July 25-29.  The cost is $155 for Bridgeland residents and $165 for non-residents, and all supplies are included.Leading the class is Stephanie Baker, a master gardener and owner of Ready to Grow Gardens. Baker has been teaching science in school gardens since 2002 and her hands-on enrichment program is now integrated into the science curriculum at 10 Cy-Fair elementary schools. To register for the nature camp or any of Bridgeland’s other summer camps — including art, cooking, soccer, drama, Building Brains and Project Idea — visit www.bridgelandlife.com.For information about new homes in Bridgeland, visit Partners in Building's model home at 12534 Brook Cove Drive, Cypress, TX 77433 or call us at 281-304-9311.
