Cinco Ranch Posts Sales Gain for First 6 Months of 2009

New-home sales increased during the first six months of 2009 at Cinco Ranch, a 7,600-acre community west of downtown Houston in Katy, offering new homes from the $160,000s to over $1 million.Cinco Ranch had 467 new-home sales for the first half of 2009, compared to 446 sales for the same period in 2008.  The 21-unit increase represents a 4.7% increase for the first six months of 2009 over the previous year. Strong relocation sales to out-of-town buyers have helped Cinco Ranch improve upon the sales momentum it achieved in 2008, when it was ranked as the number one community for new-home sales in Texas (and number two in the nation) by RCLCO, a national real estate advisory company.  "Out-of-town buyers accounted for fully one-third of new-home sales at Cinco Ranch for the first half of 2009, a good indicator that Houston is still adding jobs, especially in the Energy Corridor which is near the community,” Taylor said.  Realtor-assisted sales account for 80% of the new-home sales in Cinco Ranch for the first half of the year.  Cinco Ranch has bolstered its product offerings in both the lower and upper ends of the price spectrum.  The community introduced two new neighborhoods with homes priced from the $160,000s, and also added a new custom home village which was the site of a public showcase this spring. To visit Cinco Ranch, take I-10 W to the Grand Parkway, turn left under the freeway and go down 5 1/2 miles to Cinco Ranch Blvd. Turn right on the feeder onto Cinco Ranch Blvd. and continue to Spring Green and turn left and you will see the model park on the right hand side.
