National Night Out in The Woodlands

National Night Out promotes police-community partnerships as well as neighborhood spirit. When neighbors know each other, communities are safer and crime decreases. National Night Out Community-Wide Kickoff will be on Saturday, October 1, 2011, from 1 - 5 p.m. in Northshore Park in The Woodlands.

• Meet firefighters, law enforcement officers and emergency personnel and watch demonstrations of their equipment. • Enter and explore vehicles on display such as Homeland Security’s mine-resistant, ambush-protected vehicle, SWAT, patrol cars, fire trucks and ambulances. • Enjoy entertainment such as K-9 demonstrations, music, face painting, balloon art, an inflatable bounce house and much more!

This is a free event and everyone is invited! Parking will be available at the AON Hewitt parking lot located on Lakeside Drive off of Lake Woodlands Drive. It is just a short walk to Northshore Park.

National Night Out Neighborhood Parties Tuesday, October 4, 2011 5:30 - 8 p.m. In your neighborhood!

Neighbors are encouraged to turn on your lights, lock your doors and go outside to meet your neighbors. How you celebrate is up to you, the important thing is for your neighbors to get together.

Visit Register Your Party for a chance to have a member of local law enforcement or The Woodlands Fire Department visit your neighborhood. Register by September 19, 2011 to be eligible for early-bird prizes for your party.
