Seven Lakes High School, which serves Cinco Ranch residents, ranked among the top 3% of public high schools in the nation, according tot he 2010 "America's Best High Schools" report by Newsweek Magazine.Just over 1,600 of the nations 27,000 high schools (about 6%) mad ethe cut for the newsweek list, which picks the schools based on how hard school staffs work to challenge students with advanced placement college-level courses and tests.Seven Lakes ranked 689, which put it in the top 2.5% in the nation. Overall, four Katy ISD high schools were included in the list, with Cinco Ranch and Seven Lakes High Schools ranking the highest in the district."Great schools are one of the major reasons why Cinco Ranch is the number one community in the United States for new home sales in 2009, so it's great to see our high schools rank so high in the nation as well," said Heather Gould, marketing director for Newland Communities, the developer of Cinco Ranch.
