The Woodlands is the place to be this July 4th weekend!

On Friday, July 2, The Woodlands Convention & Visitors Bureau kicks off the patriotic weekend with the beginning of its Summer Night Series at Waterway Square from 6 – 8 pm. The Buck Yeager Band will perform along with entertainment from a clown, balloonist and fun at the interactive fountain. Bring your picnic, chairs, blanket and cooler.

The South Montgomery County 4th of July parade will be held on Saturday, July 3, beginning at 9 am. The parade runs through The Woodlands Town Center and Market Street, beginning and ending at The Woodlands United Methodist Church on Lake Woodlands Drive. Pre-parade entertainment includes jugglers, clowns, magicians and much more!

The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion salutes America at the annual Star-Spangled Salute, set for Saturday, July 3 at 8 pm. This free concert is generously sponsored by The Woodlands Development Company. Picnics are welcome (no beverages); lawn chairs are available for free; and tickets are not required. Gates open at 6:30 pm.

On July 4 beginning at 1 pm, over 8,000 ducks will race at the Rob Fleming Aquatic Center in the Village of Creekside Park. The Duck Race benefits many local charities including Montgomery County Emergency Assistance.The Woodlands’ tradition continues with one of the largest Fourth of July fireworks displays in the greater Houston area. The Annual Red, Hot & Blue Festival will be held Sunday, July 4 from 6 pm - 10 pm at Town Green Park and Waterway Square, both located along The Woodlands Waterway. Admission to the festival is free. Tickets for concessions and games can be purchased at the festival.

As soon as dusk falls, the Red, Hot & Blue Festival will present one of the largest fireworks displays in the Houston area, a 23-minute explosion of colors to be simulcast on Sunny 99.1 FM. The fireworks display is expected to start at dusk (between 9:15 – 9:30 pm).
