Yesterday, Partners in Building held a construction training class in one of our homes that is under construction at Player Trail in Sterling Ridge, The Woodlands. Realtors were walked through the home with builder Sam Hickey, who demonstrated what goes on "behind the walls". Items such as engineered beams, the benefits of using embedded hold downs, wind straps, and sheer walls were all discussed and pointed out in the house, so realtors will be able to educate their clients on these topics in the future. They also learned about items that are unique to Player Trail, such as zero lot lines and ways to create privacy between neighbors. When the realtors had had enough of the Texas pre-summer heat, they returned to the model home at 70 Wintress Drive, where they were greeted with glasses of iced tea and lunch.
