Woodforest in Montgomery, along with the Women's Council of Realtors, promises a day of shopping and festive fun during its Holiday Market Home Tour, noon to 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17. Retailers will sell must-have holiday items in Woodforest’s 11 model homes, with vendors including The Rancher’s Daughter, Willow House, Funkie Flamingo, Planet Beach, Genuwine, Premier Jewelry, Girly Girl, Silpada Jewelry and My Thirty Something Gifts. Other festivities include holiday concessions, entertainment and an iPad giveaway for one lucky person who has a tour card hole-punched at each model home. Visitors should stop by the Woodforest Homefinder Lodge, 101 Elk Trace Parkway, to receive a tour map, shopping bag and punch card. Tickets are on sale for $15 at the Homefinder Lodge and also will be available at the door. A portion of the proceeds benefits the Wounded Warrior Project, which helps wounded veterans transition into civilian life. Woodforest is a 3,000-acre master-planned community, located five miles north of The Woodlands and six miles south of Lake Conroe.
