Last week, the Austin division of Partners in Building held a build on your lot seminar at the Steiner Ranch Steakhouse.  The participants had a fun and informative evening which included a prime-rib dinner in the tradition of the true cattlemen of Central Texas.Steiner Ranch began in the 1930’s as one of two purchases by the Steiner family.  The ranch sat along the banks of the Colorado River and close to Lake Travis in the heart of the Texas hill country.

In a ranking published November 27th, Partners in Building was listed as the sixth largest green builder in Houston by the Houston Business Journal.  To qualify for the list, builders must be GHBA certified as part of the Green Building Initiative, or all homes being built must be environmentally friendly.

Forbes, in its July 7, 2009 online edition, named The Woodlands, Texas #14 in its list of the Top 25 Best Places to Move in the country.  The Woodlands was the only Houston-area community to make the list, although seven other Texas communities – six in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, and one in the Austin area – were also included.Forbes looked at “Relovilles”, defined as young, mid- and upscale suburbs near major corporate plants and offices with populations of 25,000 and over to locate America’s best places to move.
