Walkathon Draws a Crowd in Sugar Land

Over 300 attendees participated in the annual Walkathon organized by the Indo-American Charity Foundation last weekend at the Lost Creek Park in Sugar Land, Texas.  The community event raised money for 15 Indo-American organizations, including the ICC, Daya, India House, IAPAC, Sewa International, IACCGH, Indo American Forum and IITAGH, just to name a few.Mr.

Good News in Spring 2010 Real Estate

The Houston Association of Realtors recently published their Multiple Listing Service Report for March 2010, ringing in the good news that Houston area consumers have been confident and active homebuyers this season.

Overall March sales of single-family homes across greater Houston climbed 10.8 percent and the sale of all property types rose by 14.5 percent as compared to March of the previous year. HAR is pleased with this March’s activity, as the increase in single-family home sales ended a previous consecutive three-month decline.

Bridgeland opens doors to public with classes and events

Fly fishing, kayaking and a craft show are just some of the activities open to the public this year in Bridgeland, a northwest Houston community voted Master-Planned Community of the Year by the National Association of Home Builders.

Outdoor enthusiasts can register for beginner fly-fishing and kayaking classes, with all necessary equipment provided. Fly fishing will be April 11, while the those wanting to learn to kayak can select from an April 24 or May 22 class.
